Eating for happiness

I'd go to this Quezon City restaurant just for the novelty of it's name, but Van Gogh is Bipolar has a menu that will make me happy, too.

Literally.

Van Gogh is Bipolar specialises in natural foods that can stimulate "happy" hormones - and they are supposedly stronger than chocolate.

The menu consists of foods said to balance the brain's levels of serotonin and dopamine, which function to relieve mild to moderate depression, and this was the concept behind the restaurant.

Website Springwise reported that the restaurant resembles a living room, aimed at making customers feel comfortable and at home.

Meanwhile, dishes are named after celebrities who have suffered from mood disorders, such as the Larry Flynt Cabbage Experience and Jim Carey Sardines. There is even a series of Presidents' Meals.
