Sydney foodies get their Guide

Sydney foodies will be rubbing their hands together in glee when they get their hands on the latest Foodies Guide to Sydney.

The fourth annual edition of the Guide goes on sale this week, with co-authors Helen Greenwood and John Newton providing details on more than 450 fresh, handmade and general food retailers.

The guide contains more than 30 chapters listing the best places to buy everything from pastries to pasta, fresh bread to cakes, aged cheese to ripe, organic fruit and vegetables.

Those on the MasterChef bandwagon will like the latest addition to the guide, which tell you where chefs shop, unlocks the secrets of cured meats and provides a list of favoured factory food outlets.
